Big D's Fundraiser

My Step-dad has been diagnosed with a rare auto immunse systemic disease that is attacking his left eye causing him to go legally blind. He is currently fighting to keep from losing that eye and to keep it from infecting the other. There is currently only one other person in Nevada who has it. He is traveling to UCLA on September 11 and it is out of network therefor he has to cover all charges. Yea Yea I never Post! Pirate Power.....

22 days and counting and we are moving to Boulder City!! To say I am excited is a huge OVERstatement(?)!!  Boulder City, home of the Eagles. The worst sportsmanship I have ever played against in my 22+ years of being an athlete! They actually bullied, egged and made terrible signs about kids who moved from their town to ours in high school. Yes it was 13 years ago, but those terrible kids who did that are now the parents to this generation. I have already heard so much talk about people who remember me and Hate me ( like I care) because Victoria has lived there for 2 1/2 years, but I am worried about the bad influence spoiled kids will have on mine......  But I fully intend to wear my MVHS shirts to every single game my kids have in the next 18 years!!!!! Including the ones I coach :)

July 4th

We spent the 4th in Boulder City where mom and Vic live. They have a great veteran's memorial park with an awesome splash pad!!


Big D got up early and saved us all spots to put up our shades and cook some yummy food. He has a huge XXXL camping chair that the kids can all sit in together and that VyVy uses as a crib.

They had a cool opening ceremony with 6 skydivers doing tricks with colored smoke and one carried an American flag.




























Te kids had a blast and loved the fireworks and live music, can't wait for the next one!!

SUMMER!!!

Baseball season is finally over and there is one more day until summer break starts and our vacation season starts!! Chaiz starts kindergarten this year so we are packing extra fun into this summer!! Starting this weekend with our annual trip to Big Bear, CA with the whole fam (mom, vic and Mess's oldest daughter) We all have cabins right next door to each other and we hike, fish, kayak, bbq and go to our favorite Alpine Slide and mini golf! First week of July it's back to Tracy, CA and a Giants game or two! We always stay a night or two at the Golden Nugget in July cause the boys LOVE the pool there ( it has a slide that goes through a shark tank). August is off to Laughlin for our anniversary and some fun jet skiing and water taxi, that for some odd reason the boys think is the coolest thing ever!! Not to mention probably more camping and Lake Meade trips then I can count! Man I'm tired just typing all the things we will be doing!!! At 10 last night a late August getaway to Mesquite was planned!

They finally meet!!

Counting down the 17 days until we go to Londonderry to spend spring break with Sasha!! but until then there is baseball 5 days a week and a teething baby!! In the past 4 days I haven't slept for more then 2 hours at a time and it is starting to catch up with me. The exhaustion is making me even more clumsy than usual and now I am saying words and sentences that don't make sense. Luckily Shawn is off tomorrow and I plan on spending the day sleeping!!

Baseball season has begun and it it a whole lot harder having two boys in little league!!!! Now I know why mom had us girls so close together, so we were close enough in age to play on the same team! Luckily the boys dont have games at the same time. But 5 practices and 6 games a week is going to wear me and VyVy out!!!
I love baseball season can't wait to watch the 51's!!!

Counting down the days until our week vacation back east to visit Nina Sashy and Paul!! It's been two years since we have taken the boys back there so they are sooooooo excited to go again. I'm more excited for the girls to meet and take lots and lots of pictures together!! Oh and also for all the yummy seafood, I couldn't eat all of the stuff I wanted to last time because I was pregnant. Croix is crossing his fingers that there is still snow so he can snowboard. 41 more days!!!

So Sasha's little girl Alexis was born exactly 4 weeks and 1 hour before VyVyana. The funny thing for everyone who knows us is that Sasha's little girl was taller and mine was shorter. They are evening out and we can't wait for them to meet in April. And hopefully be as best of friends as we were growing up.

I just have to say how much I love Shawns job and how grateful I am for their family insurance( for which we pay NADA, not a dime) He is the first assistant(right under a store manager) at Big 5 where he has been forever and he loves! Plus he gets awesome discounts, it's great to be my friend :) We don't pay a cent for our insurance besides the $20 co-pay and when ewe had VyVy and she ended up in NICU I was freaking out worried about the bill! Well I got it today and besides the $20 we paid we didnt owe a thing, the insurance paid 100%!!! I know people who have paid thousands and thousand in hospital bills!! Today I just feel thankful!!!!!!

Christmas in Overton

My favorite part of Christmas has always been Christmas Eve at Ama's house. My entire life and long before I was born my entire family has been gathering at my grandmas bright and early on the 24th to make what feels like 100 dozen tamales!!! When I was growing up her house would be packed full of cousins, aunts, uncles and hundreds of presents. As the years have gone by there are fewer and fewer able to make it but no matter how many show up it's always full of love and bud light!! Even if it is 8am( Mando)!

I finally feel well enought o sit at the computer for a few minutes and put up her pictures. She was born on Dec 1 at 10:02 p.m. Just short of four weeks early just like her brothers!! I had been having contractions since before Thanksgiving and the dr gave me meds to try and stop them but she wanted out. So when they finally started being three minutes apart we tucked the boys into bed with papa and headed to the hospital. I got there at 8:30 p.m and they said the dr would be here in 45 minutes to do my csection! I couldn't believe what a whirlwind the next hour was, mom almost had a heart attack trying to get to the hospital on time.

My last csection they put me to sleep so this time was so weird to be awake as they cut her out of me! She had a little trouble breathing when she came out so she had to spend a couple days in the nicu. But now we are home and happy to have her here in time for Christmas!!

Sasha finally had baby Lexi late last night, 8lbs 13oz 22 inches long. I have no idea how she fit in there but man she is adorable!!

30!!! Really???

I would like a recount, some proof other than this birth certificate that I am really 30!!! I wasn't there so how can I really be sure, I definetly don't feel that old. Luckily my boy have been trained since birth that mommy is 22 and will always be 22. So my cake of course says "Happy 22nd birthday Mom" Where have the years gone// It doesnt feel like it's been 30 years or even 11 years since I have graduated high school!

So today and the rest of the week I shall be celebrating my 22nd birthday(for the 8th time)!!!

Finally have everything ready for this little girl to get here. I still have 9 more weeks to go but with the boys being 4 weeks early you can never be ready too soon!!
